Why we say book direct
We want you to know that you should always book direct. Vrbo, Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com are popular places to look for a vacation rental, but you pay more and get less when you book through them: a steep premium on the same home you could have booked here, only the homes the site chooses to show you, and a wall between you and the people who actually know the house.
Atlantic Vacation Homes is local
The online travel sites are advertising sites. Their call centres have no first-hand knowledge of the homes, or of Cape Ann. A search can tell you a house has three bedrooms; it cannot tell you how many steps it is from the driveway to the front door, or how long the walk is to Good Harbor Beach. Most of our staff live on Cape Ann, know our homes inside and out, and will match you with the right one for your group, your dates and your budget.
For us, it is personal
An anonymous travel site does not know or care whether you come back every year or have a favourite house. We do. The friendly voice on the phone when you booked may be the one at your door with an extra set of towels or a double kayak. Making every stay the best one yet is the job.
